Elaine Yingcheng Xu, MD, is a resident physician in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Pennsylvania and a graduate of the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. Her interest in ethics began during her undergraduate studies at Washington University in St. Louis where she studied Philosophy-Neuroscience-Psychology and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. Dr. Xu's current areas of interest include the intersection of terminal illness and psychiatry and teaching bioethics to her fellow residents through the Bioethics Certificate program.
